Chapter 1 - The Midnight LivestreamThe crystal chandelier in our luxury penthouse honeymoon suite cast a dim, romantic glow, but my eyes were wide open and completely stone-cold. It was 2:00 AM on our wedding night, and my newly minted husband, Ethan, had just slipped out of bed under the pretense of grabbing a bottle of champagne from the hotel lounge.

Peeking through the security peephole, my suspicions were instantly confirmed as I watched Ethan’s broad shoulders disappear directly into room 412—the very suite assigned to my chief bridesmaid and supposed best friend, Jessica. They thought they had been so clever, hiding their months-long affair behind innocent bridesmaid fittings and late-night wedding planning sessions. But Ethan didn't realize that I had installed a discreet motion sensor and smart lock notification system on our entire floor weeks ago, giving me real-time alerts of every movement.
Instead of weeping or breaking down in hysterical tears like a typical heartbroken bride, a dark, fierce calmness washed over me. I sat down at the vanity mirror, picked up my phone, and opened the family group chat that included both sets of parents, siblings, and close relatives who were staying overnight in the hotel. With a steady hand and a wicked smile, I crafted a mass message that would detonate their carefully constructed web of lies: "Special surprise gift inside room 412, come livestream the door opening right now!"
Within seconds, I heard frantic doors unlatching down the hall as both families, thinking it was a sweet midnight anniversary prank or a romantic wedding gift delivery, rushed out in their pajamas and robes. They flooded the hallway in a noisy, excited swarm, holding their phones high, their screens glowing as they started their streams. With my heart pounding with thrilling anticipation, I unlocked our suite door, stepped out into the corridor, and watched as my mother-in-law, Evelyn, enthusiastically turned the door handle of room 412. She pushed it wide open, shouting a cheerful, "Surprise!"—only to freeze dead in her tracks.
A chorus of ear-piercing shrieks erupted in pure, unadulterated shock.
There, caught in the harsh glare of phone flashlights and camera lenses, were Ethan and Jessica. The scene inside room 412 was indisputable. Clothes were scattered across the floor, champagne glasses lay knocked over on the nightstand, and Ethan was scrambling frantically to pull up his silk trousers while Jessica shrieked, diving under the duvet in sheer terror.
"What on earth is going on here?!" Evelyn screamed, her voice cracking as her face turned a terrifying shade of crimson. She staggered backward, clutching her throat as if air had suddenly been denied to her.
Ethan’s eyes widened in horror as he realized he wasn't just caught by his wife—he was caught in front of his parents, his new in-laws, his boss, and over two hundred extended relatives currently watching the broadcast live on social media. "Wait! It’s not what it looks like! Stop recording!" he roared, throwing his hands up to block his face.
"Ethan?!" my father roared, his fists clenched as my brothers held him back from charging into the room. "You pathetic bastard! On your wedding night?!"
Jessica was sobbing hysterically under the sheets, her pristine bridesmaid reputation dissolving into ash in real time. "Turn it off! Please, someone turn the cameras off!"
I stepped forward slowly, the train of my satin robe sweeping gracefully across the carpet. I looked Ethan dead in the eye, my face devoid of pity, holding up my phone to show him the live viewer count skyrocketing into the thousands.
"Happy wedding night, Ethan," I said, my voice echoing smoothly down the silent, horrified corridor. "Consider this my final gift to you."

Ethan fell to his knees on the carpet, begging, but the damage was done. The scandal was public, immortalized, and impossible to erase. But as Evelyn wept and my family shouted, a cold, calculated smile touched my lips.
They thought this public exposure was the grand finale of my revenge. Little did they know, this was only the beginning.
