Chapter 10 - A New DawnOne year later.

The Elena Moretti Sanctuary was officially opened to the public. Where the oppressive, cold Cole mansion had once stood, surrounded by locked iron gates and surveillance cameras, there was now an open, sprawling haven of ancient oak trees, vibrant flower gardens, and winding stone paths.

The three-ton iron gates that had once slammed shut to trap me had been melted down and recast into a beautiful memorial fountain in the center of the park, featuring a bronze statue of a soaring phoenix rising from water.

I walked along the paved stone path, holding a bouquet of fresh white roses. The crisp autumn air was refreshing, carrying the sweet scent of pine and blooming jasmine.

I stopped near the edge of the central lake, looking at my reflection in the clear, still water.

I was no longer the quiet, timid Elena who apologized for existing. I was a woman who had walked through the fire, burned down the cage, and built an empire of hope from the ashes.

Behind me, the sound of familiar footsteps approached.

I turned to see my five brothers walking up the path toward me, dressed in casual suits, laughing among themselves. They stopped a few feet away, looking at me with warm, loving smiles.

"Ready for the gala, Elena?" Dominic asked, holding out his arm.

"Always," I smiled, stepping forward and tucking my hand into his arm, with Matteo, Luca, Gabriel, and Nico walking proudly beside us.

As we walked out of the sanctuary together into the bright golden light of the late afternoon sun, I knew one thing with absolute certainty:

My place was never at the feet of a tyrant. My place was standing tall, surrounded by those who loved me, unconquerable and free.
