Chapter 10 - The Queen's CoronationSix months later, the city was entirely at peace.

The Rossi family was gone, absorbed or dismantled. The city's political and business leaders had fallen completely in line, recognizing that the Moretti empire was stronger, more legitimate, and more untouchable than ever before.
On a glorious, sunlit Saturday afternoon, the Cathedral of Saint Mark was decorated with thousands of white roses and emerald silk banners.
Over a thousand guests sat in the grand pews—diplomats, law enforcement chiefs, business titans, and ordinary citizens from the local community who had benefited from the Moretti Foundation's new charitable initiatives.
At the altar stood Luca Moretti, looking majestic in a custom velvet tuxedo, his eyes fixed on the heavy oak doors at the back of the cathedral.
The organ swelled into a triumphant wedding march.
The doors swung open.
Walking down the aisle on the arm of Marco was Naomi.
She wore an ethereal, custom Italian wedding gown of ivory lace and silk, trailing an extraordinary twelve-foot train. Atop her head rested the Moretti family heirloom tiara, sparkling with flawless emeralds and diamonds. She looked transcendent—a true queen entering her realm.
Sitting in the front row, looking radiant and healthy, was Isabella. Beside her on a small stand sat a mini electronic piano keyboard.
As Naomi reached the altar, Isabella pressed a single, clear, beautiful low note.
Ding. Yes.
A soft tear rolled down Naomi’s cheek as she smiled at Isabella, then turned to face Luca.
Luca took her hands in his, his grip strong and warm.
The bishop delivered the vows, speaking of love, loyalty, and an unbreakable bond forged through trial and fire.
"Do you, Luca Moretti, take Naomi Carter to be your wedded wife, to love, honor, and protect her, above all others, as long as you both shall live?"
Luca looked into Naomi’s brown eyes, his voice ringing out strong and clear through the ancient cathedral. "I do. With my life, my blood, and my honor."
"And do you, Naomi Carter, take Luca Moretti to be your wedded husband?"
Naomi smiled, her heart full to bursting. "I do. Always."
"By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Luca didn't hesitate. He pulled Naomi into his arms, dipping her gracefully as he kissed her deeply, declaring his love before the entire world.
The cathedral erupted into thunderous applause.

As they walked out of the church hand-in-hand under a shower of white rose petals, Naomi looked out over the city that was now hers to protect.
She had started as a quiet maid in a locked music room, listening for notes in the silence. Now, she was the undisputed queen of the city, standing side-by-side with the man who loved her beyond measure—a woman who had proved that true power belongs to those who fight with loyalty, courage, and unconditional love.
