Chapter 4 - The Fall of the DynastyTwo federal marshals stepped up to Julian, grabbing his arms and forcing them behind his back.

CLICK-CLACK.
The sound of steel handcuffs locking around Julian’s wrists echoed through the hospital room like a gunshot.
"Get your hands off me!" Julian roared, thrashing against the marshals' grip as his polished leather shoes skidded against the floorboards. "Nora, you insane bitch! I'll destroy you! I'll hire every lawyer in the city! You won't get a single dime of child support!"
"You won't be paying child support from a federal penitentiary, Julian," Special Agent Miller noted dryly, guiding him roughly toward the door.
Eleanor began weeping hysterically, clutching at the marshals' sleeves. "You can't do this! The Vance name will be ruined! Think of our family's reputation!"
"Your family's reputation was built on stolen money, Eleanor," Marcus Vance’s deep voice rang out from the hallway.
The crowd in the corridor parted as Marcus stepped into the room, flanked by his own team of corporate litigation attorneys. He looked immaculate in a dark navy suit, holding a certified court order.
Eleanor gasped, her eyes bulging with pure hatred. "Marcus... you traitor! You helped her?!"
"I didn't help her, Eleanor," Marcus replied calmly. "I helped justice. As of 6:00 AM today, the federal court granted my emergency petition to place Vance Global Logistics into court-ordered receivership. All executive powers held by Julian and his father have been suspended indefinitely."
Sienna looked at Julian, then looked at Marcus, realizing in a terrifying flash that the golden empire she had ruined my marriage to join was collapsing into dust before her eyes.
"Julian?" Sienna squeaked out, taking a step back from him. "What about my allowance? What about the apartment downtown?"
Julian glared at her with venomous rage. "Shut up, Sienna!"
"Take them down," Agent Miller commanded.
The marshals marched Julian down the main hospital hallway, surrounded by news reporters who had been tipped off by Marcus's public relations team. Flashbulbs strobed violently against the glass windows of the lobby as Julian Vance—the golden boy of the city's business elite—was loaded into the back of a black federal van in handcuffs.
Sienna scrambled after them, trying to cover her face with her designer purse as photographers shouted questions at her.
Eleanor slumped against the hallway wall, sobbing into her mink coat as hospital staff and patients watched the arrogant matriarch fall from grace.
I walked down the hallway flanked by Marcus and my security team, holding the double stroller carrying Leo and Oliver.
"Are you ready for the next phase, Nora?" Marcus asked softly as we reached the private exit doors.

I looked down at my two beautiful boys, sleeping peacefully under their cotton blankets, entirely safe from the toxic family that had tried to steal them.
"I've been ready for six months, Marcus," I said. "Let's take back everything they took."
